Dance Hotline 303-592-3972

Who Are We? Colorado Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance is a non-profit organization that runs community, participatory dances — such as contra dances — with live music and calling in the Denver and Boulder metro area of Colorado. No prior dance experience is necessary, and nearly all our dances are preceded by a lesson. Community dances are very social by nature — married and unmarried couples, singles accompanied with friends or arriving alone, and anyone from age 9 to 90 who enjoys dancing are welcome. It's okay to come and just check things out too. Children are welcome at dances if supervised by a responsible adult

CFOOTMAD advantageously receives external funding including:

Scientific and Cultural Facilities District
Established in 1988, SCFD funds metro area cultural and scientific organizations through a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax (one penny on a ten dollar purchase). That's about 1/80th of the total sales tax; the SCFD grants have funded equipment and live music.

Colorado Council on the Arts, which in turn is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts
